Any good tips for learning Italian?

I just started learning italian from audio recorded cds and book and I was just wondering if anybody knew any good tips on learning the language.

    try the yahoo answers in italy
    watch italian films (subtitle them in italian, that helps a lot)
    find an italian friend to exchange languages
